Gosh, what a lot of rain we’ve just had. So much so that leaving the house today was a battle against the elements, what with the children’s rain cover blowing into our next door neighbour’s front garden, along with the most inopportune, complete disappearance of all the umbrellas in our house. But it got me thinking…
All my umbrellas are rather boring affairs anyway, and if I’m honest I’m not especially upset that I’ve lost them. And given the seemingly unpredictable nature of the weather in the UK these days, I’ve convinced myself that it could rain at literally any moment in any month.
